We have three reading programs for the 2018-19 school year.  Please see details below for these programs.  As always, if you have questions, please see Ms. Botkin at any time.

Gateway Nominee Challenge:

There are 15 Gateway Nominee titles.  You need to read 10 of the 15 titles. You will need to complete the form as you read the titles.  Completed forms must be submitted to the library by March 1, 2019.  When you submit the form, you will receive a giant Hershey’s chocolate bar, a certificate of completion, and an invitation to attend the OFHS Gateway Nominee Lunch here in the OFHS Library with free pizza and soda.  

In addition to the completed form, you need to post on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook a brief review for each book that includes the hashtag, #orchardfarmhsreads.  You will have ten reviews total. (Please see Ms. Botkin if you do not use social media.)

Please note:  You can use these titles in the Read Harder Challenge as well.

 

OFHS 2018-19 Read Harder Challenge:

Complete all five tasks by May 1, 2019.  Completed form must be submitted to the library by this date.  When you submit the form, you will receive a giant Hershey’s chocolate bar, a certificate of completion and an entry in a drawing for a $25 gift card to Barnes & Noble.  

Please note, you cannot use the same book for two tasks, and you cannot use any books that are read in the English Language Arts courses at OFHS.  However, you can use books from the Gateway Nominee Challenge or the Read Without Walls Challenge.
